From the Classroom to the Courtroom
Sean was raised in Missouri and moved to Houston after college to teach with Teach For America, where he taught middle school English and math. Teaching meant breaking down hard material, meeting people where they are, and staying with them until it made sense. He brings that same approach to disability law, where clients are often facing a confusing process at one of the hardest moments of their lives.
Leadership and Service in Law School
At the University of Houston Law Center, Sean served as Editor-in-Chief of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal, the Law Center’s student-run journal of business, tax, and corporate law scholarship. He participated in the Law Center’s Military Justice Clinic, where students work under faculty supervision on behalf of service members and veterans facing military justice and adverse administrative actions. He also interned with the University of Houston’s Office of the General Counsel. He earned his J.D. in 2026 and joined Marc Whitehead & Associates following his admission to the State Bar of Texas.
Education and Background
Sean graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University in 2013 with a degree in English Literature, French, and International Relations. At SLU, he was involved in Residential Life and the Student Activities Board. He has called Houston home since joining Teach For America and is proud to serve clients across the greater Houston area.
“Teaching showed me that people do better when someone takes the time to explain what is happening and why. A denied disability claim is overwhelming. Our clients deserve someone who will walk them through it and fight for the benefits they earned.”
